Partner at JP Karsenty since 2017, Matthieu Chirez has been an attorney since 2010.
Matthieu mainly works in criminal law, business criminal law and litigation – particularly in the fields of food safety and industrial risk. He regularly works with the DGCCRF on consumer criminal law cases, whether in pre-litigation phases, negotiations, or court proceedings.
He has also developed an expertise in wine law.
Matthieu defends defendants as well as victims, at all stages of the proceedings and before all criminal courts.
He was also Secretary of the Paris Bar Conference, a bicentennial institution that elects 12 lawyers every year after an eloquence contest.
Matthieu is a contributor to REUSSIR VIGNE magazine, where he writes the column “La minute droit”. He also teaches criminal procedure at Sciences po Paris and trains lawyers in criminal defense at various French bar associations.
